Fitness Units

Aerobic Games
Traditional games are adapted to give all students many opportunities to practice basic motor skills, movement concepts, principles, and strategies in a high-activity format.

Chasing and Fleeing
The games in this unit provide opportunity for students to develop chasing, fleeing, and spatial awareness skills while promoting health-related fitness in enjoyable ways

Fitness Challenges
This unit provides students with a variety of fun and challenging activities that promote all 5 components of health-related fitness:  aerobic capacity, muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, and body composition.

Fitness Circuits
Provides students with a variety of challenging activities that promote the 5 components of health-related fitness.

Group Fitness
This unit allows students to experience a variety of fitness activities in a group setting.  Activities help motivate students to improve their own fitness.

Jump Rope
This unit gives students opportunity to enhance their aerobic capacity, muscular endurance, and body composition in a fun and social atmosphere.

Walk/Jog/Run
This unit disguises the fitness aspect of walking , jogging, and running by mixing in various patterns, different motor skills, partners and groups, and many other variables to keep students motivated, moving, and having fun.
