SEAS Weekly Parent Email 3/6 - 3/10/2017
"Guided by our Catholic faith, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School serves God and families
by spiritually and academically preparing students for lives of holiness and service"
Our Lenten observances this week have included special prayers said for members of our community, confessions, Adoration, prayer journals, discussing Lenten promises and obligations, Stations of the Cross, Lenten vocabulary and acts of sacrifice and self-denial.
Congratulations to the Cardinal 8th grade boys' basketball team for bringing home the CGSAA State Championship!
Thank you to the PTO for hosting Family Bingo Night. Everyone had a fun time!
We were proud to induct 23 new members into St. Elizabeth's chapter of the National Junior Honor Society last Thursday. Congratulations to all!
Enrollment is open for the 2017/2018 school year! All families should have received an email with a link accessing our Online Enrollment using ParentsWeb. The early registration discount will remain in effect until 11:59pm on Saturday, March 18. After that date, regular registration fees will apply and enrollment will open to new families on our waiting list. I think you'll find this online enrollment process easy and quick. New for 2017/2018 is a 12-month payment option and a discount for those who choose to pay in full during July. Please contact the office if you have any problems. Financial and cafeteria accounts must be clear in order to enroll.
Due to the generosity of members of our parish and school community, we will have additional tuition assistance funds available for the 2017/2018 school year. These funds are intended for families who need help affording a Catholic education at St. Elizabeth's. I encourage you to apply if your family is in need. Consideration is made for those families with limited income, multiple children enrolled, family hardship or other extenuating circumstances. You will find information on the tuition assistance application process as you complete your online enrollment. The deadline to submit requests for tuition assistance is April 28.
Our spring break is Monday, March 13-17, and we have our Archdiocesan Spring Inservice on Monday, March 20. Therefore, no classes will be held from Friday, March 10 - Monday, March 20.
Our monthly collection in February totaled $206.02 for the Center of Family Love. Thank you for your generosity. Our March collection to benefit the Samaritan House will be at our Mass on Thursday, March 23.
Spread the Word and Win!
We will be hosting a public Open House on Sunday, April 2 from 1pm-3pm for prospective families interested in the school, and we need your help! All current families are encouraged to bring a new family (parents and children) to the Open House to learn about SEAS. Current families must attend with their guests. For every new family you bring, your name will be entered into a drawing for a $250 tuition discount for the 17/18 school year. IF your new family enrolls and remains for the entire 17/18 year, we will forgive your final tuition payment for the 17/18 school year. Please consider new families you would like to invite and help us spread the word about the school!
Third quarter report card will be available for viewing in ParentsWeb at the end of the day on Wednesday, March 22.
